General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions apply to the rental of the “Vechteliebe” to guests for temporary accommodation, as well as to all related services and deliveries.
2. Conclusion of Contract
The accommodation contract is concluded upon confirmation of booking by the landlord. Bookings can be made in writing, by phone, by email, or via a booking portal. By making a booking, the guest accepts these General Terms and Conditions.
3. Payment Terms
A down payment of 20% of the total price is due within 7 days of receiving the booking confirmation. The remaining amount must be transferred no later than 7 days before arrival, unless otherwise agreed. For short-notice bookings (from 14 days before arrival), the total amount is due immediately.
4. Security Deposit
The landlord reserves the right to request a reasonable security deposit. The deposit must be paid in cash upon arrival or transferred in advance. It serves as security for any damages caused or extraordinary soiling. After proper return of the apartment, the deposit will be refunded no later than 7 days after departure.
5. Final Cleaning
Final cleaning is included in the rental price, unless otherwise agreed. The guest undertakes to leave the apartment broom-clean, dispose of rubbish, clean dishes, and empty the refrigerator. In case of excessive soiling, the landlord reserves the right to charge additional cleaning fees.
6. Cancellation by the Guest
Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation conditions apply: up to 30 days before arrival: free of charge; 29 to 14 days before arrival: 50% of the total price; 13 to 7 days before arrival: 80% of the total price; from 6 days before arrival or in case of no-show: 100% of the total price. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.
7. Termination by the Landlord
The landlord is entitled to terminate the contract for good cause (e.g., force majeure, unforeseeable damage to the accommodation). In this case, the amount paid will be fully refunded. No further claims by the guest shall exist.
8. Arrival and Departure
Arrival is possible from 3:00 PM, and departure must be by 10:00 AM. Any different arrival or departure time is only possible by prior arrangement. In case of late departure, an additional day may be charged.
9. Use
The apartment may only be occupied by the number of persons specified in the booking. Pets are only allowed by prior arrangement. Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire apartment. The guest undertakes to treat the apartment with care and to report any damage immediately. Any form of prostitution or offering sexual services is expressly prohibited. In case of violation, the landlord is entitled to terminate the contract without notice. No refund of the rental price will be made.
10. Liability
The landlord is not liable for the guest’s valuables. The guest is liable for all damages caused to the rented property or inventory. Parents are liable for their children.
11. Wi-Fi Use
Wi-Fi access is provided free of charge. The guest undertakes not to access or disseminate any illegal content. The landlord’s liability for misuse is excluded.
12. House Rules
The respective house rules, displayed in the Vechteliebe, are part of these General Terms and Conditions and must be observed.
13. Data Protection
Personal data will be used exclusively for contract processing and will not be passed on to third parties, unless legally required. Further information can be found in our Privacy Policy.
14. Final Provisions
German law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Nordhorn. Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
